TUQV to appear on more compilations:

Distention - The first label sampler from AlterCulture Records will be available very soon. This compilation will be an enhanced CD featuring the biographies of the artists on the AlterCulture roster as well as previously released material and previously unreleased re-mixes of material from releases on or soon to be on the label. The disc will contain three songs from Scorpio including a re-mix of "Breathing Liquid Breath" with all new percussion and vocals. 1,000 copies of this comp will be given away by Interface Magazine. There will be a demo version of a song from the forthcoming 2nd release, Between The Twilights, that will play as you read the Extended Bio on the enhanced track of the CD.

TUQV to be on Black Planet Compilation This compilation will be released by KSM Records in Canada and is a double disc featuring dark-ambient, industrial, and experimental artists. "The Devil Card", from Scorpio, will appear on the compilation as a means to score a broadened European exposure. Black Planet will be available October 31, 1999.

TUQV gets a song on the Dark Vision Compilation! A David Bowie Tribute, Part 2 - This compilation is the sequel / companion disc to the recently released and acclaimed "A Goth Oddity" which was released by Cleopatra Records / Wreckage Productions (as this compilation will be). The Unquiet Void has contributed a cover of Bowie's "Ashes To Ashes" and the disc will be available in spring of 2000.

More Compilations to come. There are three other compilation appearances that The Unquiet Void is submitting material to and as those appearances are confirmed they will be posted here.

  Other Goings On:
The Unquiet Void has recently provided scoring for three computer animated short films:

Jabberwocky - written by Lewis Carroll, visuals created and directed by Caleb Strauss. This film runs just over a minute in length and is a dark and twisted visual rendering of the classic poem complimented by the eerie soundscape entitled "The Tulgey Wood" by The Unquiet Void. This short has recently been shown at the Siggraph Computer Animation festival being exposed to such companies as George Lucas's Industrial Light & Magic, Disney, Pixar and many others. The short was featured on a limited and rather expensive DVD sold exclusively at this festival.

Myth Retold - written, created, and directed by Victor Deleon. This film contains a mystical native American story which features both computer animation and live action footage. This film is accompanied by the tribal and mystical sounds of "Spirit" by The Unquiet Void. Both the film and the song are a little over 3 minutes in length and the song is being submitted for compilation appearance.

A Gift For Mr. Kafka - written, created and directed by Victor Deleon is this homage to the late great literary legend, Frantz Kafka. The Unquiet Void's "Surreality" accompanies the film which is just over a minute in length as is the track. This track will appear on The Unquiet Void's forthcoming Between The Twilights CD at some point. This film will be shown at NY Film Festival in 2000.

Sex, Death & Eyeliner - is a film documentary on the "gothic culture" from Neo Art & Logic, a company in Los Angeles, CA. The songs "Breathing Liquid Breath" and "The Cube Of Bondage", from Scorpio, will be featured in this film. It will have a nationwide VHS release in the US and as of right now there is no known release date.

Between The Twilights - The second release from The Unquiet Void is in the works and actually has been since June of 1998 shortly after Scorpio was completed. Jason says that this release promises to be a surreal and emotional listening experience. Release date, as of now, is slated for May of 2000 (on AlterCulture Records) and is subject to change. New information on this release will be posted as soon as it becomes available.
